Free boiler complications

I rent privately and when my annual gas inspection was done the boiler was deemed inefficient (it is pretty ancient) as I am on benefits (dad stood guarantor and has walking on water credit) the letting agency got in touch about a free boiler. A guy came to do an assessment and checked my paperwork (I had ready what I'd been told to ) he said all was fine but that he needed to take my paperwork to be photocopied but the company would send me the originals back. If I'd known a photocopy was required I could have had one ready for him. Then he called and said the paperwork I'd given him (annual tax credits letter) needed to be backed up by letter from income support confirming I was in receipt. The problem was that I was at that point being transferred from income support to ESA. This was just before Christmas. I got the ESA letter but then my dad was hospitalised and diagnosed with asbestosis so it was a fraught time, there was a little bit of a lull where I'll admit I was just busy with other things and then dad fell and broke his hip. It was a long spell in hospital cos they ended up also treating him for a chest infection. But once he was out of hospital I texted the guy with a message saying sorry I'd not been in touch n told him why and that I now had the paperwork and could he give me a call please. That was 3 weeks ago and I've sent a second text and still nothing. I've text and asked my landlord what they'd like me to do but again no reply.

What should my next move be?

I am about to start the same process so I ask who are you dealing with re the paperework?
I have reason to hope that Spirit Energy in Scotland will assist me, they want to deal direct with our tenant, after that they will come back to us for permission to proceed.
Ask landlord to try to start agsin with another company?
I am no expert, but if you read the other threads on this item you can read back and gain more understanding. It was explained about funding running out , maybe thats why your trail went cold.
sorry to hear of your family probs.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have already asked my landlord if I should try another company that was last week and still no reply.
