Well OH's letter has gone off so will wait and see what happens with that
I got a letter from HSBC today saying they have refunded the pathetic amount of £75 which was one charge, the amount of which they are quite within thier rights to charge me that amount and its my responsiblity to maintain the account.
However its thier DD that they refuse to cancel paying a HSBC loan which is causing the charges.
To this end they said they wont stop the DD until the whole loan is paid and they wont close the account paying it until while its in debit
Catch 22! or what
Well my only thought is to send off a second charges letter and hope they close the account so at least it wont keep adding up, theres no way now at about £800 i can pay it off, it was only £300 OD in April
Any ideas?

Yes ive tried but i get a letter saying sorry you cannot cancel this as its paying this loan, Ive been trying to cancel it for 4 months now.
I have no problem with them wanting thier money but its the charges that they are putting on that Im arguing with, I have lost my job I have no money I have offered a payment but they just keep taking £80 out of my account when nothing goes in then charge me because theres no money in it!
