Travel Insurance?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to get Travel Insurance from? Have the rest of the family insured as I had an annual insurance out, but just discovered it runs out while we're away.
I've been pricing around and Found Asda Travel insurance which seems quite reasonable. And them being well known I'm inclined to go with them. I was with Tesco last year but their prices have went up since then, with Asda I'm saving about £20 for a single trip.
Has anyone any dealings with Asda travel insurance?? Or am I aswell going with Post Office or Tesco again?

Is it standard travel insurance with no special conditions? If so, perhaps use one of the insurance comparison sites - this year I have had a single trip with Top Dog who covered my health conditions for a very fair sum (half the price I paid last year with Insure & Go).

If you need specific cover for cancellations or anything else, please call the insurers directly so you can be double sure that you are covered - so many are caught out as a standard policy doesn't include treatment in private hospitals - it is usually an add on.

I've been with Asda travel insurance and had to claim for a large cut on my arm sustained in the hotel I was in - they didn't pay for the claim, so I personally would avoid.

Have also heard horror stories from friends and forumites about Post Office.

It's the superior insurance which covers everything with Asda. I don't mind if it doesn't cover private hospitals, as I have my EHIC card also anyway, and the nearest hospital where we are going is a public hospital. Hopefully I won't have to use it at all though lol. Asda came up in a comparison search I did, as before the I didn't even know they did Travel Insurance.
I'e never had problems with Post Office Insurance in the past, but Asda is cheaper than them and I'm trying to save money where can TBH.
