This is the page I'm being directed to:
    i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb171/NobleSX/theiasappealwebform_zps37a5fd3d.jpg

I am not able to submit my appeal in any other way that I can see on the site. I've been onto every link. I also notice the comments box is limited to 1000 words.

I cannot paste my appeal that is written in Word into the comments box.

Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.
  • I've just been into the IPC website here:

    theipc.info/#!independent-appeals-service/citr

It also states that the new IAS website is the way to submit your appeal. How has everyone else appealed? Or is this a brand new change?

Try copying and pasting appeal into something different eg notepad. Then copy and paste into box.

Or perhaps try removing the formatting before you copy and paste?

Don't know what else to suggest. This is a software issue from the look of it.

Oh and you may find you have enough posts now to put in your own links.

Not sure what this link shows? But the way you appeal I believe is the way everyone else has appealed. I haven't had a PCN from an IAS company and the only way you can access it is if you have the PCN number and a rejection.

Those who have appealed successfully are unlikely to visit this thread tonight. But you could try ending a few Pms to successful posters as one way of asking the question.

  • I've tried that already. I could be wrong but I think it's a deliberate piece of code enforced by the IAS to prevent copy pasting. I've seen it before on other sites so it is possible.
  • My appeal contains 1,158 words so will be rejected by the comments box anyway.

Why not save the appeal as an image and upload as evidence then with all the other pieces of evidence? There is the option to upload jpegs etc as evidence. So simply say in box, appeal has been uploaded with the evidence .

If needs be upload as several images with page 1 / 2 etc on them as long as PCN number is on all pages.

Do you think that would work?

  • A PDF will work too. I can save the appeal as a PDF and upload that way - directing them to the PDF appeal. Not sure they will accept that as valid but it's the only thing I can think of given the comments box is only 1000 words. The 1000 word limit in itself is just silly.

We got there in the end. I can't see why they wouldn't accept it. You are simply saying in box, my appeal has been uploaded as a PDF along with all the evidence.
