Blue badge and parking eye camera

Just received my charge notice due to an overstay in a car park monitored by cameras.
I've sent off the newbies first response to them but not mentioned anything about the blue badge that was on the dashboard. I assumed a parking attendant would have see it but of course with the introduction of cameras they don't need one now..
At this stage I'm just wondering what would be the likely outcome of a parking charge when a blue badge is involved?

Blue. Badge issue will be relevant although ever usually wins the POPLA appeal.
We keep trying to put it into appeals in the hope an assessor will pick up and use it, however so far none have.
When you get your rejection head over to this thread where Coupon-Mad has written a post for another disabled driver and crib details from it. She is the master of EA2010 regulations.

Blue badges are not legal requirements for disability on private land.
It might help to explain situation a little more though. It might be something you should have referred to in first soft appeal, however that is bye the bye now.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Great thanks for that, it'll be very useful come the time. I was going to add it in but felt it was a mitigation as defined in the newbies sticky thread.
If it tends to get ignored anyway, I'll pop it in later so they're on warning that should it go to court a judge will get to see it and I assume they'd rule that the blue badge holder had some sort of legitimate expectation that the badge carried the same weight on private land as it does on public.0 -
the BB carries no weight and isnt valid on private land
The EA 2010 is the law for private land and applies to all protected persons, not just those with a BB
if you check the BB booklet you will know that its only relevant on the public roads and council land like car parks , but even on the council car parks its subject to the parking rules enforced by the council (mine charge but double the alloted time)0 -
So when rejection comes (and it will) pop back onto his same thread with draft appeal.
Redx has made it clearer, the Blue Badge will mean nothing at POPLA. However the EA2010 I. Theory does, although in proactive doesn't. We have yet to get an appeal won on it. The other points will be the winner, it we like to stick EA2010 under their noses whenever we can.
Coupon-Mad is determined to win an EA2010 appeal one day and we are all doing what we can to help her!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. ok I sure will and I'm just thinking now that as this parking site is only controlled by cameras now they probably don't check disabled bays anyway.0

disabled bays are there for people qualified under the EA 2010 to park
the BB is not relevant as its private land controlled by anpr , so the local rules apply, if that is p&d like most of them near me then having the BB (or being disabled or a protected person) only allows you to park closer to your objective but does not protect the car from charges or the rules
too many people think a BB makes them fireproof , anywhere , anytime , it doesnt !
it is also not relevant to an overstay as such , but the EA 2010 can be used if there was good reason for the overstay0
