Changing carpets - Keep old underlay or get new

I am fitting new carpets to my flat. The last ones were laid 7 years ago, with new underlay, but now they just very dirty and stained.
Would you bother replacing the underlay at the same time? As far as I can see it is in good condition.

If you are laying medium/low priced carpet then probably ok, but anything more expensive then probably best to get a decent quality new underlay, as it is the underlay that saves your carpet from wearing out.
Before you rush out and buy new carpets, why not see how much it would be to have them professionally cleaned? My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
