NPower 'bill ready' emails not arriving.

Options
Anyone else not getting emails when their online bill is ready.
Last two bills Sept 2013 and June 2014 we've not been notified.

I just spoke to the NPower email people who refuse to accept their system isn't working and that my email provider must be blocking them.
Strange as the contact address they use for the notifications (npoweronline@npower.com) managed to get through on 2nd January 2014 advising that meter reading dates were changing.

It is also happening to a family member who uses a different email provider and who pays by variable direct debit.
You can guess what happened.
NPower took £700 out of their current account which as a result went overdrawn.

Npower also refused to accept their systems did not send the notification emails out.

I can confirm that NPower bill notification e-mails never showed up when I was with them. (Just switched away on 11th June) They billed me unexpectedly on 11th April while their web site was telling me the next bill was due on the 18th May. I found out because on 24th April they asked me to enter meter readings, so I logged on and saw the bill sitting there.

Then they billed me on 24th April, even though next bill date was still allegedly 18th May, and I had no expectation of a bill for another 6 months. Fancy that a bill for just 13 days!

I can't remember how I found out about that one but it annoyed me enormously because they proposed changing my monthly direct debit from £105 to £146. I called them, negotiated £110 instead, and started the switching process to First-Utility who want £89 per month.

Now I am monitoring the inevitable chaos as Npower try to close my account.

If you see my other posts here you will know that NP closed my account when I tried to change tariff.

I have had a couple of emails from them in the past two weeks, one to tell me that I had successfully changed tariff (thats when the account was closed) then I had one telling me that the account was closed and the D/D had been cancelled also that the credit amount will be repaid...which it was, this email also informed me that the final statement was ready to read.

I am getting paranoid now, incase the account vanishes from the NP website I have printed evrything I can so i have hard copies if I need them.

I have been advised here to lodge a complaint which I will do once the 28 days has expired which NP told me that things would be sorted within that time.

Also keeping a monthly meter read so I can see how much I am owing should things get back to normal.

It certainly helps in the worry stakes to know others are going through the same problems...at least NP paid my credit back!.

Yesterday I had an email informing me that my latest bill was ready to view....clicked the link which opened my NP account page....still saying the account is closed and the PDF bill was the closing statement that they had informed me of previously.
