places to stop in Shropshire, welsh borders

Hi, I am driving up to Haworth, Yorkshire soon from south Wales. This will take about 5 hours so I'd like to stop somewhere nice for a break about half way.
I like peaceful gardens or my companion likes transport or military museums.
We won't be able to stop for long so I'd like somewhere smallish and not expensive. Paying over £5 when you can only stay 1-2 hours is too much.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Another vote for Ironbridge, or Ludlow for the castle.

When in Haworth avoid Changegate car park.

Lovely cafe as well,do have to pay for parking but entrance is free.

Not Shropshire but close,as your partner likes military.Close to motorway too.

Not Shropshire but Norbury Junction is great too.

Ironbridge is lovely as is Bridgnorth but really we a very pretty county and there is so many places to visit.Ludlow,Shrewsbury,Church Stretton,Wenlock.

Mentioned these as not sure which way you coming up,and not far from main roads and cheap parking.
