I too am having issues with npower! I started my account in august 2013, then closed the account end of December when we moved house.
I only received a bill through the post early July for back in august.
They have sent letters saying they are going to pass details to debt collectors if we don't pay.

I then received a letter stating they were sorry for delay and debt was being written off! Or so we thought.

This morning I received another you owe us type letter. So I rang and spoke to someone who told me that they have no copies of any such letter being sent (like I was making it up) and that we don't qualify for the debt being written off as they've now changed it so you have to have received bill after July.
This is totally rubbish that it takes them from august to June to bill me then tell me I don't qualify for any of it being written off!

Fed up of them now!
