Always worth starting a new thread. If initial appeal gets rejected then you may well come back for further advice and it is harder to find someone else's thread than your own. And since the answer to your question is in the newbie thread and you have missed this, it suggests you may need other help later.
Also as said before we try to operate 1 PCN per thread. It makes it easier for us to reply as we are only reading about your PCN not anyone else's. It is too easy to go back to original post and get confused when trying to help. We want to help, but we need to target advice.

He won't have appealed by 'letter' to PE I doubt - they have an online page to appeal - saves a stamp. And we tell people never to send an original piece of 'evidence' of course, that may be needed later. Nothing to stop you scanning the P&D ticket to send a copy & adding a point D to the usual appeal template - but the danger is newbies then go and type something like 'I paid and displayed'...please don't add anything that says 'me/myself/I' when talking about what happened!Just got the exact same ''fine' for Abersoch golf club PE parking. Did you send your parking machine tickets in with this letter ?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
