Cjj. Believe me, this is the best place to be for a pick-me-up. I can't thank all the peeps who helped me earlier in the year! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Do you need me to get you a tissue.
Seriously cjj, there is nearly always someone about. This thread was an absolute lifesaver to me with everything I went through with my mum the last couple of years.
There are some really special people here that give you their time unconditionally. :A
Love you Elite.
I agree :A
Although I don't post as much, I'm always reading and attempting to keep up. This community has been my little sanctuary and I'll always be grateful for that....those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

I was nearly at the point of camping at Argos until they gave me my money back. This new lappie has taken up far too much of my time.
Been getting sound problems all week, ie it kept disappearing. I sussed out how to get it back each time but not happy to keep having to do that with new machine.
So phoned Asus support again today and guess what I got Brian again.
Well he seemed to sort out my disappearing sound it has not gone since I completely uninstalled a couple of drivers. New ones automatically installed like he said they would but guess what then I could not get any sound through my headphones. And that's no good on the night shift with zag's links.
Ok so I phoned back but then Asus helpline closed. I am a bit OCD when it comes to fixing problems you may have noticed.
So google has been my friend for a few hours, been trying this and that. Finally found a fix. :j:j:j
Odd one this, have had to disable fast start up! Not sure what difference that will make to me. :rotfl:
Anyways thanks for listening peeps, just needed to offload.:o:o

Hi everyone, I've not been about for a while. Not had much time recently as I started a new job and I'm still in the process of buying a bigger house for my expanding family. We should be moving in the next couple of weeks.
A quick question if anyone can help me please?
My DW paid a big cheque for our house purchase into her bank account instead of our joint account by mistake today. The cheque was made out to me and not her but was accepted by the cashier, will it bounce?
Thanks,

When we had a business account I used to pay named cheques into it without a problem but unsure if it's the same thingTo do is to be. Rousseau
