Like I said I don't know enough about it, but I do know which side of the debate I'm leaning towards.

I watched a totally fascinating programme the other week where Janet Street Porter toured Scotland and gathered a whole host of opinions. I'm no JSP fan, but it was a really good programme. She started in the borders with a lot of farmers, worked her way up to the central belt into communities that were affected by the miners strikes/decline in ship building and then went to Aberdeen to talk to people involved in the oil industry. With other bits inbetween.
It was a good look at the different opinions.
