    Or maybe not...

If their systems won't let them stop the money being removed, then in my view their systems do not comply with the law!! Why don't you nip off to the High Court for an injunction to stop their imminently threatened deduction now? (See if they'll commit contempt.)

Alright...now back to the real world...

Seriously though, if you cancelled last year and yet they say you are still on auto-renewal even now, then clearly someone made a mistake last year by failing to ensure the automatic renewal was cancelled. If they take money, you do suffer something (even if it's just a few days loss of interest - assuming the bank account it's taken from pays interest). They made the error last year, by not cancelling the renewal on their system. You will suffer loss as a result. They ought therefore, after the event, recredit all the money, pay you the loss interest, plus pay an amount of compensation for their mistake, plus the inconvenience and cost of phone calls, etc. I'd be making a formal complaint to them immediately after it happens.

I've had two, yes two, mixups with one of my banks now. Did I mention the second one? (Probably didn't - I know I mentioned the first.) But ended up with my home insurance being paid to take away, plus compensation from the bank. And now, another incident with something else, and another £70-odd into the bank for me (that's the compensation, I haven't even accounted for the amount lost, which was much less, and will be recredited). Their system wouldn't let them correct the error properly. Let's hope their system fails to do what it should again and again:money:.

Well done all the quavers shoppers :T

Might just be in Scotland that it doesn't work then. C'est la vie :o

I don't think I'll test anything up here for a while. That's coke and quavers I've had no luck with recently

At least the classic variety worked. I bought a lot more of them anyway  I'd be gutted if it was the other way about
