Rather boringly very little change in Morries today other than what I already knew about. A few changes here and there - the Glamorgan Sausages going off as gone up from £1.00 to £1.58.
Nothing much really.
Apart from:
PG Tips Pyramid 240. £2.84 "whilst stocks last". That's cheaper than the standard own brand 240. (Not cheaper than Savers Tea obviously but who wants Savers Tea every time?) I can't see any reason for these not working on the APG once today's price collection is updated into the system. I don't think they'll work at the moment though. I didn't have these on Monday and I seem to have a vague memory of seeing them at full price.: I think this will work but only on shops done on Friday night onwards.
Heinz multipack soups - 4 Chicken or 4 Vegetable.
These are now on £1.69. Careful though, as it is an RTC price (RTC prices do compare when they are not store specific, but then they might have missed them off totally. Might be easier/better to just buy in M.)
I see no evidence of the A Medium FR Eggs (6) comparing to £1 at M. I do not have £1 in my M store on those - I have £1.39 instead. Looks like msm.co.uk is linking up to the Natures Nest eggs. This is not what the APG has been linked to, so I'd say this won't work.
Walls Mini Twisters - say £2.00 2 for 1 on msm.co.uk. They are not. I have them as 2 for £3.00.
Happy Eggs - I only have the Large 6 pack version on offer - and at £2.00 2 for 1. No idea if it works.
Quorn Peppered Steaks (2 per pack). Careful on these - msm.co.uk may say N/A - they are much higher priced in Morries. They are *not* a good filler at all for Avs M. Quorn Lamb Grills - these are no longer £1.24 in Morries but are, and have been for a few times now, more expensive.
There's a couple of fresh Linda McCartneys at £1.95 in M, but I'm thinking that's quite expensive now for 200g/290g.0 -

the key words are "gift credit"
money I added is not this. I was told my money would still get discount, I suppose its the same as getting on board and putting money into your account. which I have done many times.
but I will keep an eye on things and update on my return. worst case is ill still be £1.50 better off.0 -
Keep seeing a trailer for "The Men Who Made Us Spend" at 9pm on Saturday on BBC TWO. "Why do we feel the need to upgrade?" it starts by asking.
I don't!!:D:D (Is my immediate thought in reply.)
"This is not an accident...". Absolutely it is not - as the trailer/title suggests, it's a plan on their part - unsuccessful as regards me - to get people to spend!
It does work. It works with most people - as the trailer itself suggested, people generally "feel the need to upgrade".
Postscript - I still haven't "upgraded" (Halifax's word not mine) my Halifax account and I have absolutely no intention of doing so. No matter if they put bells and whistles around the "Click to upgrade" box or magnify its size by fifty-fold. They can try all they like and it still will not work. And if they now dare to try to introduce any charge at all for the ordinary account - perfectly fine for my purposes and all "upgrading" totally unnecessary - I shall simply immediately ditch and thus they won't get money off me either way.:)
I've no idea why the general population, bizarrely, see the need to upgrade. Then again I suspect that the vast majority of people think differently to me - in their complete strange, emotional, irrational and often, above all, just plain wrong thought pattern - and this is absolutely why it works on most people, much to my bemusement and somewhat interest in often watching them follow like sheep and make, in my view, extremely poor decisions.0 -

I should be able to tell you in 10 days time. I put £50 on mine, and will check it and report back.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
