Ditto re sainsbobs - they stopped issuing me any catalina till spits at all. But resistance is futile and they have since sent me 3 lots of mailing conditional spends, one after another with an extra points voucher for completing each set - £20 spends
Ideally I would like a full £10 BM each week - could do with some help with list writing.
Also found a till spit - spend £15 on laundry and cleaners etc get a 7p voucher off petrol - ideally I would like a BM as wellSavvybuyer wrote: »There are a few good items Avs S (besides the kitchen towels) - Lasagne Topper was one:), also a couple of specific Chicken Tonights were showing 50p for Sains but maybe they've gone now?:(
Also - I don't know why I'm promoting them - Be (Allegedly) Good to Yourself Minced Beef Hotpot is 60p - may be a bit better if have extra Nectar points for that range - usually unconscionably expensive to me - may be a good filler to a BM shop etc. - and Sainsbobs Chicken & Mushroom Pie 700g at £1.37.
I am currently not shopping at S at all. Besides them putting up prices on Basics items and annoying me - and generally just being too expensive a store without recompense - I was turning down their £3 off £20 several times as not good enough. Then they issued a £2 off £20 in (what seems to me to have been) a failed attempt to make me regret what I'd lost by turning down those £3s. http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/27716493
These companies that try to tug at and play with our emotions eh?
I have no regret at all as I would still have been spending far too much even after the £3 and £10 BM and would rather just get one item at a few pence RTC:money: and not be coerced into spending on far more just to get the £3 off (yet spending far more than £3 more in order to get that).
In response to the miserly £2, I have not shopped at or bought anything from Sainsbobs ever since:money:. That was doubtless not what they hoped to achieve!:D I hope they regret it! (Doubt it as just one customer (former) is going to make little difference and I haven't made any human beings working at Sains. feel emotional regret. Hard to make an inanimate object like a company feel 'regret' or anything.) Anyway... they (the company not its staff;)) need to be treated like rats IMO. By not shopping there and making them regret it.
Hope they are missing me:D.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I've had that one a number of times, but never been able to take it up. Besides having way too much laundry/cleaning stuff anyway (due to APG), it always ends up as spending more, even after the BM that commits you to putting the money into goods from them later, than if you'd paid 7p a litre extra on the petrol in the first place. These fuel things - often don't seem to be moneysaving to me. (They are, of course, very popular and therefore very lucrative/profitable to the supermarkets I suspect. Almost undoubtedly a reason why we should be avoiding these sorts of promotions. If it's a very popular offer, it's undoubtedly going to be leading to them making money (which is their job of course:rotfl:) somewhere which is thus the precise opposite of us saving the same money - and this leads (or would lead) nicely into what I'm proposing to say about loss leaders for example later...)
Be unseasonal, be the minority, do not follow the crowd, shop the complete contrary to most people, behave total opposite way to what the consumer psychology market research says... those are the ways to save money!0 -
