    Yes but how much it could have been had they not bought the Sures and Oral B with them:mad: and if the Pomegranate had compared. I always think of how much they've lost me and, when they've reduced it down to a lower amount, even if I claim the amount, I'm still unhappy about it not being what it should have been!:rotfl:

    Actually this subject came up yesterday.

    OH said he had been referred to as a "lad" twice recently - blokes in maybe their 70s or 80s and OH is 50s - I suppose to them he is still a young wipper snapper :rotfl:

    But if I reffered to someone say in their 20s or 30s as a "young lady" that would be taken as a snide sarcastic comment :rotfl:

    I suppose it also depends on the way in which you say it.
    And this is a minefield to you... think of what it is to me!!!:rotfl:

    I did get called "lad" recently which - I almost piped up and asked the person to stop calling it me (after they'd done so about four or five times) - I thought was a bit off now that I'm in my 40s/approaching 40. 20 yes, early 30s, okay, but I'm not a lad anymore!

    :rotfl:

    There is also a big difference in connotation between "woman" and "lady". Notice how, in certain places, it's "the ladies" rather than "the women". And the contrary can happen too - whilst calling someone a "lady" is (usually) kinder than calling them a "woman" - and calling them an "old woman" is even more unkind - sometimes referring to people as "ladies" can be tad sexist when, in those contexts, the use of "women" would have been more neutral.

    A minefield. Glad I understand it all:rotfl::rotfl:.
