Reminds me of when my teenage cousin turned up with all his wordly goods in a carrier bag on the handlebars of his bike. He lived with me for weeks until I persuaded him to make it up and return home to Mum. She was really cross! I think she had been enjoying 'Me Time'. (I was doing my Finals at Uni at the time. I think it should have been me who was cross!). You are an Angel.

Hoping for a nice quiet day today. (Just two more Morries vouchers to use up). It has been a far too eventful week.

Had a bump in the car on the way to Ikea. Not our fault, but the money I was hoping to spend on a kitchen island will now have to pay the excess on the insurance :-( .............Insurance will probably find some way to make it our fault!

Thursday Midnight got a phonecall from DH colleague to say he had collapsed on the train home from London and been taken to Milton Keens Hospital. Had to drive down in car with dented doors.

Feel like Daisy from The Dukes of Hazard, as I could only get in and out through the passenger door! (Undignified as twice as old and twice as heavy!!!)

Anyway, turns out DH had food poisoning from the Harry Ramsdens he ate before getting on the train. Blood tests and ECG were clear, so no cardiac event. Drove home and did think about going to work, but collapsed on the sofa instead!!! DH still a bit fragile.

Will probably be in big trouble for not going to work, but didn't actually wake up until 2pm!!!!

Oh my! you have had a week of it. I'm glad everyone is ok though. I've been through the ' not your fault but we're putting your insurance up anyway' stuff so good luck with that!
:rotfl::rotfl: at Daisy Duke, that did make me smile :D

Good morning :) It's lovely again here today. I think I'll take all the kids on the beach. That usually tires them and makes for a sedate afternoon :D

Bloomin heck FC....you'll be like the von trapp family soon:)

Could you have a discussion with your friend alone....is he controlling her? It doesn't sit right for someone to choose their "undesirable" partner over their children does it:o
Wishing you all the luck in the world with what is a very emotional situation:o

House elf.......what a car journey that must have been for you thinking the worst. So pleased all is well.

My jam making from yesterday has led to another job today. I have a third of a jar "spare" and I'm going to have to make a cake to use it up. I can't bear to see it sitting there all lonely in the jar:o

    Victoria sponge here I come:rotfl:

Does anyone else feel that there's not enough hours in the day:o:)

Oh yes jelly......can't believe you missed out on the F and V fest:o

Good luck nanny on the bootie:T
