once you have booked you just give them a call. do it close to sailing though as I don't think you can get it back if for some reason you cant go. credit can be used towards anything on board really. eg drinks, excursions, tips added to account and purchases in the on board shops.
I am wondering if while on board I can get euros and cost added to my account.
im being cautious this time and will only put £200 in my account.

edit, I had no onboard credit given to me as I used clubcard deals to pay for 90% of the cruise. they don't give you any extras when you book like this.

Yes that's what worries me, not being able to use

Also the one we were looking at for next year has £300 OBC - if paying for this with CC points meant loosing this as well as the 5% discount it would not be as attractive.

We've got future cruise deposit to use as well which gives us some extra OBC

The other dilemma I've got is wether to convert all of the CC points we have at the end of this quarter which will pay for a good 80% off the week cruise we have been looking at next year.

This one is early in the year, a ship we have been on before so we are quite happy with it, we get the sitting and table we want and port buses should be covered. and usually we get some sort of small upgrade. Not sure about the OBC yet but that in itself could be a deal breaker.

Or do I just keep saving the CC up - the earliest expiry date I have is August 2015 so in another 12 months I might have maybe 60 or 70% towards a 2 week cruise. So this would give us far more choice.

I don't know how risky this is - there are always rumours circulating about !!!!!! ending the Cc scheme and other cc deals have been restricted or ended and it's getting harder and harder to collect good enough amounts.

About 3 weeks to make up our minds.
