thanks bubbs and everyone else. I was not going to go for the morri vouchers but decided yesterday afternoon after a lot of chatter from you all yesterday to go for it. I managed to get 16 papers worth of shopping. this was all done this morning at 'artcliffe with no problem. me and mum went in and out 3 times. £80 worth for approx. £8 cash. things like pomegranate and cherries I would never pay 99p for but don't mind paying 40ish pence for 5 is acceptable.

Morning all...did a M shop this morning and have never seen so many people that interested in fruit and veg...

I picked up some stwarberries, cherries,a couple of bananas and potato croquettes...didnt quite spend a fiver but when the rest of my shopping was mixed in it came to £10.80 so I used the sun voucher and a morissons miles pertrol voucher thats been hanging around at home for ages and so the lot cost me 80p plus the cost of yesterdays paper.

an absolute mountain of ironing to do today...oh the joy....
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    Good morning:wave:

Just wondering...my local food bank isn't really local... In fact I've googled it but not too sure where it is...
However my local t express has a box for collecting for a food bank..
Can I put some potatoes/apples in it from morries do you think????

We are off for a couple of fruit/veg shops this morning... It was quite difficult getting each shop to very near £5 last night, lots of choice I couldn't make my mind up...

I might give apricot jam a try... Just need to read back to find the recipe someone posted:)
i asked yesterday as they were collecting at our local t's & they said they can't take any fresh stuff :( so i bought a jar of lemon curd with my suns & donated that :)

Grrr he we are no further on apart from drops in the eyes and we have been here since 8.23:eek::eek:

I feel for you bubbs. Can honestly say the eye ward is always the worst for waiting times. I've waited 4 hours before when my eye was streaming and red, and they couldn't give me anything till the doctor looked at it, who was busy in a and e.
Even when I have an appointment I've had to wait 2 hours before.

    Hope you get seen soon.

That wall needs some trellis and some climbers, honeysuckle and roses would be good for perfume or if you can find a flowring jasmine, small white flowers, very pretty
    - plenty of cheap climbing plants in Morrisons

    Can't say I'm suprised Bubbs :(
Dad has a string of appointments at the moment where they have to inject straight into his eye (rather him than me!) and he said the waiting time is sometimes ridiculous
    Hope you escape soon :(

kiwis are 25p each so help too
