Alan and Susan:beer:
Just reflecting that Alan was the first person that brought us to join together from tramps and trampettes to the elite. Hope that he's smiling down on us.

Here's the recipe I used before for MSK and anyone else that wants it
To make 5 x 225g jars
100ml olive oil
2kg onions (peeled and finely sliced)
200g Demerara sugar
150g redcurrent jelly
300ml cider vinegar
50ml balsamic vinegar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Heat oil then cook onions on low for 30-40mins (onions should be collapsed and beginning to colour
Add sugar and redcurrant jelly, increase heat, cook ~30mins (mixture turns dark, nutty brown and most moisture driven off)
Take off heat to cool for a few minutes, then add the vinegars, cook rapidly for ~10mins (mixture becomes gooey and spoon drawn across bottom of pan leaves clear track for a couple of seconds)
Add salt and pepper, jar up, use within 12 months
Thanks very much, abailey54 :beer::T:T0 -
