Evening all
Yet again not caught up with today's fruity escapaes:D
Hope every one is well.
Just wanted to say that today has been a really good day.
This morning I had a winning email:j
I won a snugglebondl. Ok not very exciting but will be put away for next family or friend to have a baby.
The Orchard want me to check out D0ver extra (Think pd said she got around £17 of vouchers for her store so fingers crossed).
Then to top the day off I have just sold my unused dining table for more than I paid for it new:j:j
Not being an early bird my lovely mse friend got me some Morries vouchers which I look forward to using tomorrow.
Plus my dd actually listened to me and got herself a couple of papers. Unfortunately can't be used in morries local near gym so she will have to have a trip into town but her kind mother also posted her a £10 sun voucher so almost the weeks shopping sorted for her.
Right off to read back to see what you have all been doing with your vouchers.
Just wanted to say to 3dogs thinking of you tonight:A

Here's the recipe I used before for MSK and anyone else that wants it
To make 5 x 225g jars
100ml olive oil
2kg onions (peeled and finely sliced)
200g Demerara sugar
150g redcurrent jelly
300ml cider vinegar
50ml balsamic vinegar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Heat oil then cook onions on low for 30-40mins (onions should be collapsed and beginning to colour
Add sugar and redcurrant jelly, increase heat, cook ~30mins (mixture turns dark, nutty brown and most moisture driven off)
Take off heat to cool for a few minutes, then add the vinegars, cook rapidly for ~10mins (mixture becomes gooey and spoon drawn across bottom of pan leaves clear track for a couple of seconds)
Add salt and pepper, jar up, use within 12 months
This is great thank you, I've been looking for a suitable recipe for months. Could I ask where you get the cider vinegar from please? I think the farm shop near me has it but I don't need 2L of it! This is the perfect recipe to use up all the Demerara sugar sitting in my cupboards after I overdid buying to make wedding fudge0 -
I did see post and thought I had thanked it but I don't do shopiteyes don't know what it is even
Sorry if I didn't thank post but I thank every post apart from the odd one. I have noticed though if I go back looking for something some posts I know I thanked have been unthanked
Don't fret. I'm not great at thanking...it slows down my catch up
As long as you saw it that's all that matters :beer:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

Break into florets and put in boiling water for about 3 mins. Rinse under cold water until chilled. Put in freezer bags in the portion size you want. Freeze:)To do is to be. Rousseau
