Result then, who is buying you your papers as we know you struggle to get up on a morning :rotfl:
In honesty probably not going to sleep tonight. I fell asleep at 3pm today and only woke up about an hour ago, well that and my mother's buying 4 papers in the morning'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

im not filling my freezer up. I did it with the pizza's and regretted not having room for more expensive stuff. 3 papers for me and that's it.
I'm the same, I won't fill my freezers with fruit & veg unless Ive grown it, with the intention of freezing.theyre currently being run down for the tomato crop being ready.
This week I have harvested onions, shallots, early potatoes, baby carrots, strawbs, rasps and cherries. Salad and cucumbers are ready on demandso I don't need much.
I might buy some exotic fruits for fruit salads etc but I won't be buying loads.0 -

Oh so the bint comes in handy :eek:When The Fun Stops Stop0 -
Plan of attack, shove jeans and vest top, tie hair up out the door at 7am to find the papers, I need 15  for 3 families. Do the food bank bins in morries take fresh stuff? Was thinking about getting a couple for them. Just made a VERY long list of what to buy, I think I need to review it . I've joined SW again so everything is fresh food perfect timing, hoping its not going to say one per person.
Whats the Morries local about? Our M is a normal one but quite small, i'm not buying peaches etc, I bought some full price in date and they were mouldy before their BB date wasnt impressed.0 -

Clean the mushrooms.
Chop the mushrooms into slices or dice. You can always chop them up smaller when you use them. For now, just aim for pieces that are no more than 1/2-inch thick.
Spread the mushroom pieces in a single layer on a cookie sheet or large plate. It is okay if the pieces touch, but they should not overlap. Freeze for 2 hours.
Or if you are me:
Chop mushrooms
Bung in freezer bag
Squash bag into any available gap in freezer
Remove bag and use in soups etc straight from frozen - either use whole bag or break off a big chunk

OH gets through loads of them when he's here
Same here actually. I only thought of them because of the Frasier cake. Hmmm I might see if there's enough left over to get some fresh herbs to freeze too. It's nice to have a healthy food offer for once'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

In my local if you use the hand held scanner before 10am the SA stands over you also with the self service it's so annoying. One of them the other day asked me what I was buying..... I just ignore nowWe're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits.0 -

I applaud you for this. Most of the stuff we've grown this year has been ruined by slugs and caterpillars. They seem to be everywhere this year, the little gits.:rotfl:'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -
