My latest efforts, inspired by this painting (not by me:p) of a Welsh rural scene
    pottery1_zpscfb5ed13.jpg

    which I made into this,

    pottery2_zps01472d58.jpg

    and then glazed

It's gone off to be fired in the kiln, so we'll see how it turns out. I got some sea glass, for the watery bits at the top and the bottom (meant to be lakes) and the house windows, so it'll be interesting to see how that works. Fingers crossed:cool:
I made a couple of coasters, too - the one at the top right had has some letter-punch wording stamped in it ... "My favourite drink is the next one":rotfl:

I am strangely looking forward to seeing it fired!

Off topic but can anyone advise on Mosquito patches?
I normally use lotions and sprays from Boots. My cousin uses 'Don't bite me' patches from Amazon but they will work out to expensive for me, I'm off for 3 mths.
So looking for a cheaper version that works, any ideas very welcome?
    TIA
    LL

A friend of mine has just returned from Zante, and is usually covered in Mozzie bites when she gets back home, this time she was recomended Avon skin so soft original, result no Mozzie bites..worth a try

but on the good side dd2 has enough baby clothes from tesco to last for 6 months:j thanks to an elite angel. she told me of as she wont let me help her is very independent, but when i told her most of it was free she was :D:D:D and gave me a huge hug and said to say thanks to the elite as it means so much to her :j
i gave her some rockys and she said she had to pay so I opened the packs emptied half and said you cant pay me for free things:rotfl: so thanks to the op who mentioned looking for the half price and 100% extra free ones.
