Barcelona must sees

Options
Pukkadad and I are off to Barcelona for 4 nights with NO CHILDREN for his 40th and are keen to make the most of it, what are your must sees for Barcelona?
Any tips?
We aren't big foodies so restaurants etc not high on our priority list., quite happy to grab a sandwich.
I would like to take him dancing one night, drum and bass, House and garage type music.
He also adores designer shops and I've organised for him to recieve euros as gifts so he can treat himself.
We are staying at the H10 Itica, quite near to las Ramblas.
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.

We're not generally into museums and attractions, but you can't miss Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, and the deco buildings on Gracia. The Nou camp stadium might interest 'im indoors too.

We've never even visited the Picasso Museum (real phillistines, eh?) as we prefer to saok up steetlife and hang around in bars (of which there are lots- including near said Musem and the Barri Gotic old town between that and Ramblas.

We also love just walking from Ramblas out to ramblas del mar over the water, and although its v. grockle, we can't resist just posing in the tapas bar terrace at the end, below the mirrored angle roof. we are so sad we even took a boat trip round the cargo port- and in fact it was facinating! Never seen so many containers!

We also like hanging around (well, more eating fish in) Barcelonette and its urban beaches north from the old port and although food's not your thing, remeber to switch to local time and NEVER eat dinner before 11pm or even later or they'll think you're an american. We had a memorable meal after 'er indoors came out one Friday after work to join me after I'd been there for a couple of days work. She got the 7.30pm Iberia flight, joined the on-board joviality by Spanish commuters home for the weekend from London, landed at 10.30 local time, joined me in airport bus back to the hotel, chcked in, freshened up and we went out to dine around 11pm. to find the restauarants empty as locals never came out til after midnight.

Even if you aren't foodies, you can't go to Barcelona and miss out having a meal at Los Caracoles. A Barcelona institution.

Lunchtime is far more relaxed than the evening. Get there at 1pm and ask for a table by the kitchen, but also ask for a tour round, the place is a real life Tardis.

Even in 4 nights you won't see everything.
