Maybe an obvious question regarding PPI

Hi,

If I am on a DMP & my credit cards debts have been sold on, some of them more than once or twice, who should I contact with regards to a PPI claim, the original creditor or the company that brought the debt?

Many thanks

    The original creditor.
They can offset any redress agasint amounts owing/written off/defaulted on.
Should bring the DMP down though if successful :)

    Lovely thank you.

My husband had both goldfish & mbna cards, and the ppi was around £80 - £90 on each most months.

Any tips on how to claim we were mis sold effectively?

    Tell the truth.
Everyones case is individual, and if you start claiming things that didn't hapen, your complaint will be over. If you can't remember what happened, say so.

If you believe you were mis-sold, explain why and how.

All I know is we have separate insurance cover so we didn't need it. We took it out with our mortgage, covered everything, is that the same thing as the PPI they charged us for? Or similar?

Mortgage cover would cover the mortgage. It would not go on beyond that to cover other things, such as credit cards.

Well actually, no, I don't think we did need it, as it didn't help us when my husband lost his job, the whole reason we are on the DMP is because we got in so much debt & nearly lost our house due to no one helping us!
