There used to be a dedicated forum for people either living or thinking about living abroad.
There was lots of useful stuff about health care, buying houses, cost of living, weather surprises etc. but I can't find it now.
Does anyone know where it is?

It's due to the ridiculous new system they have devised for saving space on our computer screens (whether we want it saving or not). They have gathered up all the old, useful Sticky threads and put them inside one, useless Sticky thread at the top, so that you can't see they are there.
In the case of this board, it's this one:-
Sticky: Over 50s Money Saving Board - please read for links to important topics
In fact, all the threads are still there in addition to the new Sticky, so it actually takes up more space, it's just that it's less convenient this way.0 -
That is not a good move is it?
I'm actually looking for it but can't find it.
How are new people with something useful to contribute expected to find it?0 -

The Living Abroad thread.
The fact that this was necessary proves that what has been done was misconceived. If people who have been on this site for 6 years are having trouble finding it what chance does somone new have. I would guess that this action has drastically reduced the traffic on this thread.
I thought it had gone in the change and wondered about the logic of that, then, quite by chance, I came accross it.The only thing that is constant is change.0 -
How useful it used to be was clear when people used to say of a particularly useful thread, "This should be made a sticky". No one says that now, there's no point.0
