Spending money

Hi

We are off on a Rhine Cruise in September. Can anyone tell roughly how much spending money we will need.

I'm going on a Danube Cruise on Saturday.

It depends on what what company you are sailing with, but a lot of things tend to be included in the price, such as some excursions and drink with meals.

Other onboard expenditure, such as additional excursions, drink in the evenings and tips, can be added to the on board bill, so you might not need much cash.

We are taking about £150 worth of Euros, plus cards, just in case, but don't anticipate spending that much.

It's almost impossible to say how much you'll need, as we don't know your habits - do you like buying souvenirs, would you rather have lunch ashore rather than on the ship, do you want to go to a bar ashore in the evening? All these are variables

Not to mention, how long is the cruise for?
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Well we verge on the tight side. I know, what are we doing going on a cruise, but it is our 40th Wedding Anniversary, so we're pushing the boat out..ha ha. I cannot see us going ashore to eat or drink if it is included in the price. The exception is if we go on an excursion.
