Transfer not showing on credit card

It's first time I've paid credit card using online banking , only paid an hour ago 
but it's not showing reduced balance on card as yet ? Does it take a while I have I done it wrong ?? Thought with it being done online it would show instantly ?

Usually doesn't show up until the next working day for me. YMMV.0

With my barclaycards as I also have my CA with them it does it by end of day at the latest. MBNA is set to pay DD min for now & they collected it 2 days after it was due. Go figure - don't seem to have been charged, but I have not set up a bill payment for it yet. Most banks now seem able to show a payment out next day now. Best one though was a survey site on sat night Sent to paypal - withdrawn to CA & it was there in 10 mins - I kid you not.0
