Handbrake light stays on
Apart from the obvious a faulty switch perhaps would you think there would be any other reason that a handbrake light stays on eluminated on the dashboard of a 02 Corsa? I'm going to check the brake fluid later today but im thinking that its simply a faulty switch due to the age of the car. Any opinions on this? also if the case faulty switch would that fail an MOT?
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

It will be low brake fluid. Either your pads or shoes are coming to end of life, or you've got a leak.0

What he said. My old Corsa had leaking slave clutch cylinder first symptom was the handbrake light coming on. Check the bottom of the bell housing and see if you got fluid coming out there.
Never had the light coming on when my pads worn out, but it could also be that or leak somewhere else in the system.

Check the brake fluid before you drive. I remember driving an Escort round for a couple of days with the handbrake light on thinking there must be a problem with the switch ... then the pedal went to the floor! No brakes!0
