fixing a Tapworks ultra 9 water softener

We have just moved into a house that has a Tapworks Ultra 9 Water Softener. It looks around 2-3 years old, but doesn’t appear to be working.

Are there any diagnostics that I could try myself, and is it even worth trying to fix it. We do have very hard water in our area (Purley near Croydon).

Thanks. I've now installed it again, topped up with a 25kg bag of salt (got it cheap on Amazon) and ran the auto clean backwash cycle. It all seems to be working perfectly, so will have to see over the next few days if it makes a difference to the water.

It was very easy to install using those instructions (as the pipework was already done by the previous house owners)

Should be trouble free just keep Granular salt topped up and make sure the bye - pass valve is never left open ( If fitted )
