My friends 24 year old daughter is looking for holiday insurance to cover a weeks holiday in Europe next week.
Due to a car crash, she broke her L2 in her spine and now has rods in her back and is in a wheelchair.
Can anyone please recommend an insurance company that will cover her.
TIA.

Does she have ongoing care for the injury or is it now stable and this is her life long position now?
How long ago was it? When was her last appointment.
Assuming this is now simply a life long issue then most insurers that consider pre-existing should be fine with it but may have some premium loading0 -
Might be worth using a specialist insurer - there are a lot of them on the market - but please CALL them instead of buying on the internet, as you can guarantee that everything you want covered is covered. I have a few disabilities and went with Top Dog last time, as they covered all of my conditions, but each insurer is different, and always read the small print.0

Thank you.
The accident happened October 2012.
She is now stable and has no further hospital appointments. She just takes one water tablet a day.
Would she need to take any medical evidence for getting through security?
Hope that doesnt sound a daft question.0 -
She doesnt NEED to carry evidence but it may avoid having to lift clothing to show scars or possibly language barriers if there is a nice photo of the xray showing the rods etc0
