Foster Cat (part 2!)

Hello again,

Sorry for the new thread but I have another concern I was hoping you could help me out with.

"Puss", the cat I am fostering at the moment, is really coming along well. She has become friendly, reasonably comfortable around humans and is doing all the things that cats should be doing.

I gave her an evening feed, a bit of a love and stroke, then headed downstairs for a bit of time with Mr Dee. When I came back upstairs (keeping in mind she is on the very top floor, attic conversion), I gave my two kitties a cuddle. After this, I heard a very loud meow coming from the room upstairs. I panicked, ran upstairs and opened the door to Puss's room and she was absolutely fine. As soon as I walked in, she toddled up to me and rubbed against me. She did another loud and very long meow, then settled down.

I gave her a few strokes and went downstairs to bed. She was quiet for a while then meowed for a little bit longer. Now she is quiet again.

Now...logic suggests that she has obviously heard my voice which she has become accustomed to and probably fancied a stroke. However, I am a little bit worried that it could be something else. I don't want to condition her into thinking that meowing gets my attention but at the same time I don't want to ignore a potential issue.

Eating and pooping perfectly fine, she has access to water so no issues there. Room is naturally quite warm as it is the highest place in the house but she has two windows open for fresh air (not too open!).

She seems to have spotted my two resident cats but did not show any aggression (although they weren't happy). I didn't let them interact but she must realise that they are allowed outside of this room she lives in, and she is not. Could this be why she is wanting attention?

I will be calling the vet/warden tomorrow to give her another check up and see what is happening but for now, it is Sunday night and I have you guys!

Thanks in advance for your help and sorry for the daft questions! :rotfl:
