Can I still claim on my policy 3 years after heart attack?

Hi,

I have a joint life/critical illness policy which we took out with our mortgage 14 years ago.

My husband had a heart attacked in December 2010, we didn't know until recently when we found the policy documents during a clear out that we could have claimed on our policy for this. Can we still claim? or have we missed the boat here?

Many thanks

You need to read the policy and see what it says, and if it's still not clear ring the claim line number and ask them.
  • Hi, thanks for replying, I've checked he policy docs and there nothing about time limits on them. I've emailed the company involved, but I thought some independent advice would be good, as you know what insurance companies are like.
