Car faulty and on finance
Options
Hi i wonder if anyone could advise me with an ongoing issue...
I bought my car brand new from main dealer garage and is on finance. a few weeks into driving my car the alternator belt was squeaking badly so i called the garage and they said to drop it in. They said the belt did not need tightening up but have done it anyway. the squeak stopped for a little while but come back after a few months. called the garage up again and they did the same. ( the garage is 64 mile round trip each time).
My start stop started not to work about 1 year into ownership. The garage said that a lot of things need to be right before it will start working eg needs to be warm engine, car needs to have driven at least 9 miles etc etc...
now my car alternator belt started slipping and making its noise again so i called a local main dealer garage and explained the situation they have had the car in twice now. had new software update, had battery on charge for 48hrs, replaced alternator, alternator belt and new battery and still no joy. The car is booked in again on Monday 30th, to look 'deeper' into the problem but they don't know what more they can do!
Where do i stand legally? can i contact the finance company and get them to look into it? i am paying for a car that is not in fully working order and if i wanted to sell the car i would have to explain about start stop issue and this could lead to lower price.
Whats my best plan of action??
Cheers

It's under warranty for a good 3 years 30k miles, so keep taking it back, by the way you can take it to any franchised dealer.0

The battery alternator etc i have been told its under a 2 year warranty and its just past this but as its an ongoing issue the local dealer is dealing with it and charging it to manufacturer direct.0
