Old Halifax shares

Many moons ago when Halifax became a bank I was issued with shares, they then got taken over by lloyds, are they worth anything now?

Depends how many Lloyds shares you have.
You should have received a share certificate or notification of the number. Multiply that by the share price and you'll find out how much but don't expect it to be anywhere near the £1000 or so it was when they floated.
