Keeping it brief
my son(8) placed the pay and display ticket on the car dash board back to front , meaning it was just blank . 3 mins later windscreen ticket issued . 4 mins later discussion with ticketing person , shows him valid ticket and explains , he says just write in and they`ll cancel it .
I don`t trust them , do I do as he says or wait for the invoice ?
TIA

Read the Newbies Sticky - It outlines the best procedure from now-on.
Don't just write-in with an appeal based on fact - this will almost certainly fail completely.
Which PPC was it - this may also be an influential factor.

If they do not cancel it then they are guilty of a serious breach of trust, in which case you should contact all the stores served by the car park and complain as you have never complained before.
You should impress upon them that you will shop elsewhere and that you will tell all your friends and neighbours to as well. You should also complain to the managing agents of the site, the landlords, and Trading Standards.
You paid for a ticket, and you showed that ticket to a member of the PPC's staf at the timef, this sort of behaviour is just not on.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Don't worry UKPC will be easy to beat.
Just follow the advice already given to read the NEWBIES thread.
Wait for the Notice to Keeper and appeal as per the 1st appeal template letter.0 -

Thank you .
Send a copy (but make sure you hang on to the original).
I'd be also telling them that their employee confirmed that on production of the ticket copy to them that this would be cancelled, so you are looking forward to receiving their confirmation of that cancellation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
