Hello
Please could anybody let me know where i can book any cheap excursions/trips in Marmaris/Armutalan area.
Any recommendation would be great too. We're going in August.

The cheapest excursions are the ones you can easily organise yourself by Dolmus (mini-bus).
Here's a few ideas...
- Icmeler. It's a small resort round the corner from Marmarais and more low-key. Catch the v.frequent orange Dolmus along the hotel strip. It takes less than 15 minutes and costs about TL3. You can catch a water taxi back to the Marmaris Marina from Icmeler. Takes about 40 minutes and v.scenic.
- Turunc. A small fishing village. Again take the Dolmus, white one this time, from the same place. It's quite a dramatic drive which takes you up over the pine forests behind Icmeler, and then drops steeply over the other side into Turunc. Cost about TL6. You can also get there or back by water.
- Buses from Marmaris Bus Station (Otogar). The Otogar is out of town, you can walk there, or get a Green Dolmus. With an early start you could have a day out to Dalyan (90 minutes) or perhaps Fethiye ( 2.5 hours each way)
- There's a pleasant coastal path to Icmeler, it'll be hot, but there are plenty of places to stop for a drink along the way.0 -
take the bus to the icemeler market
the day trip to rhodes is worth it0 -
We loved the Lazy Day boat trips. Lunch included and pick up at hotel for £10.
There are trips to historical Ephesus, boat trip to the loggerhead turtle breeding ground. We wished we had longer than a week!0 -
There's tons of trips that you can do and about a million and one places to book them!
organised trips include: boat trips, jeep safari, waterpark, boat trip to Rhodes, day out to Dalyan Mud Baths, ancient ruins of Ephesus, terraces of Pamukkale, village tours, market trips, shopping trips, Turkish baths, bar crawls etc.
Day trips you can do yourself include visits to Icmeler, Turunc, Akyaka (by Dolmus), Bodrum (via ferry from Datca one hour away) etc.
There's loads of tour shops that sell the trips, or you could even book direct via your hotel reception to make things easier.Lea
