I've not had my driving license back :(

Hello All.

I was a bit naughty at the end of march and got caught speeding by a camera (the yellow type ones during roadwork) on a motorway in Stafforshire. I duly paid the fine via the direct.gov website which it told me to and then i sent my paper and plastic license off to the address it told me to (which was in Loughborough). Odd really as I thought Staffordshire would deal with it.

Anyway fast forward 5/6 weeks I haven't had either of them back so I rang the penalty office yesterday. They said they don't deal with them there, Staffordshire do! I rang the DVLA and the points have not been added, so where is my license??

I will admit I didn't send it recorded, so I have learnt a harsh lesson there so don't remind me how silly I've been on both counts please!

I'm after some advice on where I could start chasing my license? Do I get a new one and wait for a reminder to add points to my license?

Have you contacted the Staffordshire penalty office? I'd suggest contacting the DVLA again and asking their advice. It may well be that you need to get a replacement licence but I don't see why the points couldn't be added to it during this process.
