Moving house but not in one go... insurance?

Options
I'm moving house next week - however my new house is just around the corner and I'm not selling my old house so I have no rush and can do all of the jobs I need to do room by room before moving stuff in...

However... what is the cheapest way to have content insurance on both places for a short period of time? (maximum of four weeks although I'm aware that most short-term policies start at three months).

Try Lloyds (not a recommendation, but they do what you want) who allow you to cancel a 12 month policy at any time with one months notice without penalty.

When I moved, M&S insurance gave me a month overlap for free.
(I was already with them at the old address).
