Reclaim even though partial settlement made?

Hi
Due to a divorce, collapse of my industry resulting closure of my company, and subsequently being out of work for 16 weeks (due to ill health) back in 2001, i ran up considerable debts.
Through hard work, negotiation, some help from the CCCS and gradual repayments i managed to reduce my outstanding (defaulted) debts.
Finally, I sold my house when i remarried, and paid the remainder of my debts off, mostly through accepted partial settlements (75% plus of each debt repaid in all but one case).

Although i've missed the boat on the older charges, I am thinking about reclaiming my bank charges in the last 6 years.
My new current account has been totally debt (and overdraft) free for about 5 years, likewise the mortgage.

Bearing the above in mind:
1. What impact will reclaiming my charges make on my partially repaired credit score?

2. Is there any issue in reclaiming the charges in light of the fact that i have had partial (but 75% plus) settlements agreed?

3. Although one bank credit card agreed to stop charging interest and insurance charges, they only refunded SOME of them (6 months) then started charging me again, recinding their agreement, and refused to refund the insurance which they deducted even though i would no longer be eligable to claim on it due to sickness and the delay in attempting to claim etc

many thanks

It would have no impact on your credit score. I would go for it and also claim back the ppi, you werent eligible for it so shouldnt have had to pay it.

    Good Luck!!
