Solicitors Letter

Hi
I have received a letter from a solicitors on behalf of a DCA for an outstanding balance on a credit card.
They have said that I need to complete a income & expenditure questionnaire and return it to them within 14 days of the date on the letter with a proposal payment back plan.
I sent the DCA the letter asking for proof of credit agreement and got no response instead received this letter.
Can I or will the solicitor accept this letter if I send it to them in response of their letter or is it too late now it is with them?
Thanks

Hi there, you treat this kind of solicitor as you would a DCA, you do not have to adhere to there timetable, you do not have to share any personal details with anyone.
Ignore the letter, send a reminder of your "provit" letter to the DCA, 99% of the time, the "solicitor" is just the same DCA, probably in the same office, writing to you under a different name to scare you into contacting them, don't fall for it, remind the DCA the account is "in dispute" and tell them to deal with it, or not to contact you again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. It might also be an idea to send a 'signed for' letter (copying your previous prove-it letter). Might focus their minds a bit.0

Yes they are in the same building as the DCA so will send the letter again signed for.

Oh, they'll be old friends to some on here,.
Have never dealt with them myself, but most DCA`s have an "inhouse" tame solicitor to try to scare you.
Just do as advised above for now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. So ive sent the letter to the solicitor and the DCA today by recorded post this time so be interesting to see what happens next.
Fingers crossed it goes my way!0 -
It'll get passed to some other scumbag DCA next.
Only a Judge can request to see your income and expenditure, not some two bit DCA/Solicitor to rent.0 -

Never knew that! So I can refuse to complete this expenditure and income from and just give them an offer of a monthly payment if needs be? Although hoping it won't come to that.0
