Tesco days out vouchers - why do I have to specify date?

Hi
I've just booked a weeks holiday in Somerset so have ordered Tesco vouchers for Longleat and Cheddar Gorge. I was surprised to see that I have to specify in advance what day I want to visit - we're going to be on holiday so I was just planning to see what the weather was like on the day! Does anyone knows why this is the case? I ordered for a local zoo a couple of months ago and just got sent days out vouchers ....Thanks.

Tesco vouchers are good value. I had £30 worth, spent just £6 in Tesco points about a month ago.
I did not see anything about date when ordering, just use by date.
The only thing I can think of is the difference in price. School holidays are prime make a profit time. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I know I've never come across this before. I've contacted Tesco but not had any response. I have been given a code, then I need to go to the particular site, book my tickets for a specific day, enter a code and I am then sent an eticket. Seems crazy to me!0

It's probably the attractions idea rather than Tesco's. By getting people to pre-book, presumably it gives them an idea of how many people to expect on certain day and people either have to visit on that day or lose out on however they paid for their ticket, whether that be cash or Tesco token etc.0
