Superdry - what are my rights?

I bought a pair of shorts from Superdry on 7th May.
Hadn't worn them until last Friday, put them on, went downstairs, went to go back upstairs, first foot on stairs and they split from the crotch right down to almost the bottom of the shorts! Can't believe it happened, they're really thick too!
What are my rights, they still have the tag in them and I still have the receipt. They're clearly faulty so presumably I'll have no issue getting an exchange?

Have you tried to take them back yet? Your rights are that within the first 6 months it is up to the retailer to prove the goods are not inherently faulty (i.e. prove that it was your fault they ripped).0 -

Not yet, was going to take them back today but something's cropped up so it will have to be tomorrow now.
Thanks for the help.0
