Phone your card provider for a lower rate.

Do it!

I've had a Barclaycard for yonks (like 23 years). I usually pay-in-full-ish, so interest rates dont really bother me apart form the occassional "fine". but I was stunned to see on a statement that my rate was 19.9% (higher than ANYTHING they advertise on their site). I called up and played the "23 year" card. My rate now.....

6.9%!

Bless 'em. I'm now a very happy customer.

You shouldn't have to phone the crooks up. How many people don't notice that their interest rate has been increased to a level that would make the local loan shark blush?
