you could try gumtree or facebook groups, but you won't get the traffic you get from eBay0

Google is largely free at source for most products that the general public use and smart enough to keep getting their finger in more and more pies, same with Amazon. I wonder if Ebay have enough to keep pushing forward, short term probably, longer term could be different.ballisticbrian wrote: »The internet is a great provider of power to people, a true revolution in every sense. I don't think history will honour those corporations well, ones such as google and eBay and Amazon, who have sought to pull back the power with global domination in mind. But the main problem, at the moment is just capitalism, and people's natural inclination to follow the latest trend, and this feeds into the homogenisation of supply channels. Anyone remember the "do no evil" google?.0 -
Unfortunately, for what I sell, I have to be honest and say Ebay has been and still is best for me (even with the cut they take) and although sales have dropped slightly from what they used to be it is still the best and most profitable outlet for me.
I have spent time trying/exploring other avenues and business just doesn't walk through the door in the area I sell in like it does on Ebay
That may well change in the future, but for now, it brings me enough sales to tick over as I just do not have the hours in the day to dedicate to listing and the admin work involved on several sites unfortunately
Under any other circumstances, I would never advise anyone to have 'all their eggs in one basket' but I made a choice to have an a healthier work/life balance
Helps me sleep better at night too
