Argos sofas - Logan Sofa

I am a debt free wannabe, have a limited amount of money to spend and in desperate need of a sofa. My old one was cheap when i bought it ten years ago - it is now well and truely cream crackered having had sick and milk on it (its fabric and cream at that!), its been a den, a trampoline and a slide. I got value for money from the £350 it cost me all those years ago.

I am looking for a leather sofa and as i want to clear my debts a cheap one but its still got to be comfy. I know you get what you pay for but im living within my means getting a cheap one.

Argos have a logan sofa for £300. Has good reviews.

Am nervous because i cant test it - if its uncomfortable can i send it back? Are Argos ok carrying it down the back of a terraced house because it will need to come in through the back door.

When you are short of cash spending £300 feels like a big deal.

Homebase have the same sofa but have £25 off £150 spend and £75 off £300 spend on indoor furniture(excluding some Schreiber bedroom furniture) until 26th June. The code is on the website. This is online only.
Also there is 15% off everthing online and in store this weekend on top of any existing offers.

If I was that short of cash I wouldn't be buying a new sofa - how can you justify a spend like that if you're trying to pay off debts?

I got my sofa from a Facebook group (a "things for sale in [area]" type one) and it cost £25. You can tell it's not new but there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. There are even ones that come up for free from time to time. Of course you have to go and collect it, so you need a car (or a friend with a car).

The would leave you with £275 to put towards your credit card or whatever you've got hanging over you.

    I'll try homebase.

I was given a sofa, second hand but in good condition - it was full of silverfish. Took me aged to get rid of them out of my house. That experience has put me off second hand. But i do appreciate what you're saying and i agree in principal.
