Sashas sounds like a hotel you book by the Hour for naughty liasons.

Mind you, looking at the photo's for it, it does look like the statement I have given is very apt !. Look up the Adelphi Liverpool. It is a beautiful fine old building, but when the Grand National is on, it gets an influx of ladies of the night getting bussed in !

    Was it this one:

If so, if and when you try to claim from your cc company, I would send them a link to the review.

    Yep, thats the one.
Normally we check reviews etc but hubby was booked in it for work and given it was the school hols we thought we would book an additional room and go and join him.
I haven't wrote a review yet and did take pics.
I think a month is long enough for Brittannia to respond and they still haven't.
I know its not a lot of money for a hotel, but even the most basic ones should be clean. Its the principle really

Britannia Hotels are Shi%-holes. I would not make my worst enemy sleep in one. Sasha's in Manchester is an absolute dump. I can't understand why in the age of the internet people still book them, just Google them and read the reviews. They make Travelodge look like the Ritz.

The dive down Tib Street. Yes, certain professions operate out of that hotel.

It tries and be a posh hotel but it really is a dive.

I've stayed in the Wolverhampton one. Never, ever again.

You could see the springs through the mattress (obviously no mattress protector) and the room was filthy - in particular the shelf in one of the bedside cabinets was thick with dust, crumbs and other stuff I couldn’t identify without getting uncomfortably close...

The staff were kind of sympathetic but either couldn’t or wouldn’t change our room, although they did (eventually) provide another duvet to use as a mattress protector which was delivered to our room with a duvet cover. I just wish they had already put the cover on so we didn’t have to see the stains on the duvet...

We could also hear what we presumed to be rats outside - on a flat roof right outside of the window.

Britannia hotels are incredibly cheap. You get what you pay for.

I get that they’re really cheap but surely, even at the most basic level, the room should be clean and the bed should be one that it’s possible to sleep in?
