Hi Goater/Money Saving King.
(Anyone interested, click on his profile and look at his other posts.
Every one is being snotty to another poster.
There's no way this is not some PPR'd poster come back to settle scores. And Custardy wasn't a grudge holder
Sad, really.)There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I just bought three lots of meat AND three pizzas!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Hello, a warning to fellow moneysavers here. M&S does a regular 3 for £10 promotion in its food halls - meat, fish, etc, packaged with a bright 3for£10 Mix'n'Match red sticker. Today I bought 3 items all with this sticker on but when I got home (sadly, only when I got home) I found the discount had not been given at checkout. I'd paid £4.16 more than I expected to. It turns out that there is small print that invalidates the words 'Mix'n'Match if you pick the wrong items, even if they are on the same display in the store. I picked a chicken dish, a pork dish and a pizza, all from the same display area. The first two are apparently classified as 'meat/fish' and the pizza as 'ready meal'. The words 'Mix'nMatch' are a con; you aren't allowed to mix. I think this is deceitful and I'll shop there less in future. Spread the word and avoid shysters like M&S !
I was caught out with this recently BUT it was my own fault entirely. The three for £10 items all had stickers on them. I was rushing and grabbed one which wasn't part of the deal. They let me swap it at the till for one which was.
I should have been more observant as should you. Not M and S's fault at all.0 -

Well observed Azari. Gave me a good chuckle. Has his fingerprints all over it. This does not sound like a Newbie to me at all.0 -
Has moneysavingking been banned then
He was when I looked.
Of course, it's not possible to tell if someone is perma-banned or just temporarily suspended (except by waiting a month).
I wasn't suggesting that MSK and Goater were the same person - their styles were not that similar. It's just that they and Custardy are the only high profile posters that I've noticed betting PPR'd recently and unlike Goater and MSK, Custardy was not in the habit of stalking people with whom he'd had an argument and taking pot shots at them. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

I agree. In my experience, Goater was a thoroughly unpleasant individual who persistently and deliberately tried to provoke and cause arguments.0 -
I often wonder (and perhaps someone can clear this up) - Asda (horrible place, full of doleys) tend to have offers marked as "ANY 2 for £3" or such, but don't clarify further.
It's usually obvious of course, for example 2 for £3 on cooked meats, but one could take the "ANY" part to mean one cooked meat, one bottle of shampoo (for example).
Am I over thinking this, or indeed, can you mix meat with shampoo?0
