If £4,000 is all the money you have to put aside, a cash ISA is a bad choice.
You will get much better interest in current accounts - TSB, Lloyds etc.0 -
Club Lloyds 4% current account. Not an ISA. Has a £1,500 funding requirement (standing order in and out good enough).
Review the possibility of moving it to an ISA in March.I do not want to use Internet bankingcan anyone suggest a decent bank on the high street with the best interest rates0 -
4,000 pounds
Might be better to reconsider using the internet and if this is all you have, not using an ISA?
2 TSB Classic plus with a monthly standing order of £500 from each to the other might be a better option.0 -

You are limiting your options.
Decent? Best? Bank? Oxymorons!
TSB you'd get 5%, not a massive difference but worth maximising.
Bigger problem is the OP's insistence on not using internet.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Let’s start with the 5% AER/4.89% gross variable interest rate on balances up to £2,000. Unlike other banks, our rate isn’t a bonus or introductory rate and all we ask is that you pay in £500+/month, register for Internet Banking, paperless statements and correspondence.0 -
I wonder if the OP drives a Volkswagen Polo0

Which is probably worth about £3,565 plus a refund of up to £114.58 in vehicle tax.0
