Oyster card might work out cheaper. Also, if you have a railcard, you can add that to your oyster card, which makes it cheaper. There's a £5 fee for the oyster card when you first buy it.

If only doing a couple of journeys such as Cricklewood to Wembley one day and then doing up to the Oyster daily cap the next day then Oyster card would probably be best. £5 refundable deposit and top up as required. Here are the fares for you to compare (Wembley is in zone 4 and Cricklwood in zone 3).

You don't mention what age your daughter is, but is she is 10 dna under she will travel free on all buses, tubes and London overground. If she is aged 11-15 years she can get a daily offpeak travelcard for zones 1-4 for £3.60 which will give her unlimited travel in those zones each day (off peak after 9.30pm on weekdays and all day Sat and Sunday) . It is not worth getting a photo oyster card as it has a £10 non refundable fee. As said before if you have a rail card such as friends and family this will be cheaper. The quickest way to Wembley from Cricklewood is to walk to Kilburn station (10-15 mins) or you could get the no 16 bus instead to Kilburn Station and get the tube direct to Wembley park (under 10 mins on tube).
